Surprise proposal photos are an incredible way to kickstart the next chapter in your life together. And now it’s time to start planning your proposal! Whether you want to create a romantic memory with an over-the-top proposal, or if you would like to be surrounded by friends and family, surprise proposal ideas are what you need. This post will make it super easy for you to plan the perfect proposal.
Let’s get sneaky! A great way to avoid any suspicions about messages and phone calls from a random phone number, a great little tip is to add my phone number into your phone but put my name as someone familiar but with an * or something included in the name. e.g: Mum* that way, if I need to contact you in the lead up to the shoot, it’ll look like dear old mum popping up on your phone.
If possible, this is a great way to make sure you get exactly what you want from the surprise proposal photos. Sometimes this isn’t possible which is fine, I just need to be ready to be on the ball! I recommend a video meeting with me before the date so we can be on the same page in general.
If you are planning on popping the question while away for the weekend, have someone else suggest the photoshoot! It’s a great way because you can fake a little enthusiasm for the shoot, and then slowly come round to the idea! Sssssneaky! Or, as I’ve done before, I put out a fake model call for engaged couples to have a free shoot for my portfolio! This was done on Instagram stories and only shown to the client to show his soon-to-be Mrs! #supersneakylevel1000
“Banana Hammock!”… “Purple Monkey Dishwasher”… whatever it is, make sure I know what your super-secret code word is. Drop this magic word a few minutes before you bend the knee so I know it’s actually about to go down!
As the moment draws closer to popping that Q, try to slow everything down. This is the moment when your whole life is about to change for the better, so take your time and really feel the moment. Get emotional, get excited, get authentic. Whatever you do, be real. Try as much as you can to forget that I’m there! Hard I know… but if you can let the world melt away for a few moments, you’ll create the most special memories to hold on to for years to come. And the photos will be that much more important!
Proposing to the person who you cannot live without is a once in a lifetime event. It’s important to capture the memories of this special moment and make sure that they live on for years to come, and there is no better way to do that than having proposal photos to show off. If you want your proposal shoot to be perfect, there are some things you need to know before getting started! Let me help by providing all of these tips so you can have an unforgettable experience from planning through execution. You deserve it after all of your hard work leading up to popping the question to your BFF. Fill out my contact form now if you want more information about how I can help with everything from location scouting, photography advice, wardrobe selection, timing coordination and even prop suggestions!
I can’t wait to capture the beginning of the next big chapter of your story
