I’ve been through it — and I can tell you firsthand that some of the biggest decisions we’ve made as a couple were made as we planned our wedding. It’s one of those things you can’t really prepare for—but planning your big day is fun, exciting, and surprisingly easy once you figure out how to make it work for you. Here are the top 3 tips I learned from our wedding planning experience that will help you plan a beautiful and memorable event.
I’m about to reveal three wedding planning hacks that will help you get the most out of your special day while staying stress-free.
Whether you’re planning a casual backyard reception, a rustic barn wedding or a lavish black-tie affair, there are plenty of ways to turn your special day into a dream come true.
When Samantha and I were in the throes of planning our wedding day, we had spreadsheets, budgets, quotes, facts, figures, seat plans, colour schemes etc. to keep track of. And so I knew I wanted to put together a resource for my couples to have it all in one place in an easy to use and straightforward way. My guide offers a wealth of wedding-related goodness for people who want to pull off their dream wedding
But don’t take my word for it. See for yourself how it can help you keep the budget on track, and save time and energy by putting the information you need at your fingertips. If you’re having trouble figuring out what to do with your big day, look no further. This guide will show you everything you need to know to plan the wedding you always wanted!
Wedding vendors are like the supporting cast of a film. The director needs a director of photography, a production designer, a choreographer, and a line producer. You need a photographer, a venue, a caterer, a DJ, and a florist just to name a few! And I’ll bet you’ve already got your eye on a few of your faves, so get the ball rolling NOW! You don’t want to miss out on having your dream team support you on your big day now, do you?!
In the wake of the recent pandemic, the wedding industry has entered a BOOM phase. Venues are booking out well in advance, and I’m currently booking for 2023 myself! HMUAs are in the same boat and there was even a flower shortage that hit our florists hard this year. So roll up your sleeves, and get emailing before you miss out on booking someone or something special!

A mood board is one of the most important steps when planning your wedding. It will help you get the look and feel you want and help with choosing colours, flowers, and other aspects of your wedding. And I never had an actual use for Pinterest until we started planning our wedding. I even use it today to create mood boards for shoots I’m planning with other vendors!
I love Pinterest is because it allows me to pin images from my phone or computer into one place where I can view them later. This is great if I’m looking for inspo and have my phone with me. When we first started planning, I was using Google Drive and Google Calendar to track our wedding dates and details. But as I got more into planning, I realised that I would need something to help me keep all my ideas in one place. That’s when I found Pinterest. I loved how easy it was to pin photos from my phone or computer to my boards, and share them with Samantha. That way, we were on the same page (or board!).
You can see a few of my own boards here on my Pinterest profile.
So there ya have it! Those are my top 3 tips for planning a beautiful wedding that you’ll never forget. You don’t have to be a wedding planning pro to pull off the perfect wedding. I’ve got everything you need to plan your dream wedding at your fingertips.
I know planning a wedding can be stressful, but these hacks will help you make sure it’s a beautiful day for everyone. And if you want a seasoned pro in your corner who knows the little things that sometimes get overlooked, and has access to an amazing vendor network, drop me a line! I’d love to help you and your partner out with pulling off a bloody amazing wedding day to remember!
